Terry Kramer believes that the touchstones of a successful legal practice are client relationships and customer service. He founded KramerAmado based on these principles and continues to lead KramerAmado with customer service as the firm’s primary objective. As Director, Terry heads the Electrical Engineering and Business Methods group, and assists clients by preparing and prosecuting patent applications, client counseling through due diligence, freedom to practice, invalidity and noninfringement opinions, and preparing and prosecuting post-grant challenges. Terry maximizes client value through obtaining standards-essential patents, obtaining patents with broad claim scope, and translating patent research into intellectual property intelligence.

Terry strongly believes that interviewing patent cases at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) creates the most successful relationship between the USPTO and its customers, the Innovation community. Both KramerAmado’s and the USPTO’s own research indicate that personal interviews decrease application pendency and costs, improve patent quality and maximize results for both the USPTO and our clients.

Terry continues his relationships with his educational foundation as an active contributor to the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property at UNH School of Law, and his alma mater, West Virginia University. Terry loves West Virginia University athletics and tries to catch as many football and basketball games as he can.
